The Arkansas River – Documentary Screening

Follow the Arkansas River from its headwaters near Leadville to the eastern plains on the Kansas border in this hour-long documentary that illuminates the importance of this vital resource. Following the film will be a panel led by the Upper Arkansas Water Conservancy District and Fremont Adventure Recreation. This event is FREE to all community members, but seating is limited.

FCA proudly brings Jazz Downtown. Bring your lawn chair, blanket and sit back and enjoy the music of And Friends with Tom Mallary on soprano, tenor and bari sax (plus flute!), Bob Rheam on trumpet, Shawn Trout on drums, and Bruce Pennington on keyboard, this band focuses on the soul jazz movement of the 60’s and early 70’s. This concert is free but bring some cash for the food truck and beer garden!

Historic Bicycle Tour – Cañon City

The Royal Gorge Regional Museum & History Center is leading a historic bike tour around the downtown and surrounding streets of Cañon City. The program will be led by Kathleen Eaton and Ashlee Sack. Tour highlights will include information on historic properties and biographies of prominent figures from Cañon City’s history.
