What

Florence Pioneer Museum & Florence Brewing Company are co-hosting a block-party fundraiser for Florence Pioneer Museum’s Historic Building Fund on Saturday, May 8th. The museum will be selling homemade chili, prepared by locals, in handmade bowls, made by P&G Pottery, that you get to take home for just $10!

The monies raised will be designated to help complete the very much needed preservation of the 1894 Braden-Griffith Building that houses the museum. This structure is only 3-story, all-sandstone building still standing in Florence, CO. It is in very sound condition; however, the mortar has worn down over the years due to environmental conditions. Last year, because of generous donations, the north side received its face-lift and now the rest of the building needs to match. The approximate cost is $30,000-$35,000.  The Museum is applying for two grants to assist in this historic restoration. Proceeds from fundraisers in 2021 will be used as matching funds for these grants.

The event will be made even more enjoyable with live music, a food truck, craft sodas and 20 taps of craft beer:
