The Hive, located at 729 Main Street, is Cañon City’s cutting edge co-working space set up to serve the needs of digital nomads (people who move from place to place to access high speed Internet they require for their professional projects) and solopreneurs (people who run their businesses from their mobile devices). It operates similar to having a gym membership.
Members, known as bees at The Hive , select from several offered options based on how they anticipate needing work space in a given time frame. They are given a prox card so they can come in and out of The Hive 24/7. Some members purchase day passes while others rent locked offices so they can leave their monitors in a secured environment. Other members opt for the 5, 10, or 25 pack choices.
The Hive has a beautiful conference room that is available for rent to individuals and community organizations who need meeting space as well as a classroom for larger gatherings. The Hive sponsors a weekly networking group and has a community kitchen and its own parking lot. As a downtown business, The Hive sponsors First Friday artwalk events every month.
