It’s not easy to stand out from the crowd in Florence, The Antique Capital of Colorado, but Trending on Main has managed to accomplish just that! In a town full of unique shops, Trending on Main is “uniquer” than most. When you step into this shop on the east end of historic downtown Florence, Colorado, you just KNOW that you’re going to
find something that suits your fancy! The ambiance is classy and cozy and owner Sue Tierney is as friendly and helpful as they get!
Sue opened Trending on Main on May 16, 2021 after moving to the area from Illinois. Her business in Illinois, The Picker Sisters, was started in partnership with her sister, Picker Gal Sal. “We were in business together for 9 years and had booth spaces in several vintage businesses, participated in lots of vintage flea markets and conducted estate sales. We both started the business out of our love and passion for antique furniture and it blossomed from there!”
Trending on Main carries an eclectic mix of antique and new home decor and gifting items. “I carry horse motif and wall art, lots of seasonal decor, especially spring/summer garden items, fall/Halloween decor, and MEGA Christmas! Constants in the shop include various styles of humorous tea towels, wine accessories, pet accessories and decor, and fragrant sachets for all seasons.”
When asked what sets Trending on Main apart from other stores in the area, Sue stated, “I am not your typical antique store that Florence is well known for. I wanted to bring a mix of quality products that are not currently found in Florence, such as humorous greeting cards and magnets and reasonably priced and varied gift items. I hope that the community and visitors to Florence will like this new flare of products.”
“I strive for excellent customer service and a friendly shopping experience,” Sue added. “I put in new stock several times a week so there is always something new you haven’t seen!”
Sue posts on her Facebook page and Instagram daily to give people a view into the kinds of items that she carries at the shop. “Inventory is changing constantly so if you see something you like, come in and see it before it’s gone!”
When Sue isn’t at her store, she enjoys spending time traveling back to Illinois to visit family and friends, taking road trips, and spending time with her husband and 2 dogs working on their land in Cañon City.
Trending on Main is located at 125 E. Main Street in downtown Florence Colorado.
Business hours are: Thursday-Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 11am-4pm.
