The Town of Florence will be kicking off the year-long celebration of its 150th anniversary at the Florence Pioneer Museum and Research Center on Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 4:00-7:00pm. Gather for coffee, wine, and tasty treats as we reveal the “Original 18” pioneers who owned land in 1872 along or near the Denver & Rio Grande and Santa Fe rail lines. These “Original 18” helped establish the future Florence, Colorado. The story of Florence will unfold all year long. Each month the Museum will have something new to share about our Great Little Town. Oh, by the way, do you know the difference between a platted town and an incorporated town? Join us at the Florence Pioneer Museum – 100 E. Front Street in Florence CO – to find out!
