KRLN’s Tay Jefford KRLN News Director to emcee Fremont County Has Talent

Director Susan Haws of Fremont County Has Talent, says she “wanted to give local performers a stage, a place where individuals who don’t belong to a choir or a band could share their talents and receive applause.” She achieved that desire successfully in 2019, when the first Fremont County Has Talent played to a sold-out audience. With Assistant Director Ann Logan, Haws is doing it again with the 2021 version of the variety format she delivered in 2019. Over 20 acts will perform Saturday, June 5th on the historic stage of the Rialto Theater. Haws and Logan are especially happy to announce the addition of Tay Jefford, KRLN News Director, as emcee of the 2021 show. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; performance starts at 7:00 p.m.

Haws developed a love of local variety shows in Ames, Iowa, through her participation with the Ames Choral Society. “I brought the vision of a local variety show to the Rialto, after 22 years of participation with the Choral Society’s annual production called Cabaret. I’m excited by the variety we have in the Rialto show this year.”

The Rialto Fundraising committee has announced a new sponsorship program beginning at $50.00 for individuals or business who wish to purchase ad space in programs for specific shows in 2021. They also have developed a seasonal membership program. For more information or to to place an ad email with details.

Organizers strongly encourage advance purchase of tickets. Tickets are on sale at Big D’s in Florence, City Market in Canon City, and online at Adult tickets are $12.00; Seniors and children $10.00. Organizers prefer that tickets be bought in advance, and that multiple person parties buy their tickets at the same time, to ease the planning of safe spacing in seating of groups, per current health guidelines. Please join us to support these local performers and to welcome live performances back the Rialto, your home town theater!
