PRESS RELEASE

Everyone is invited to an official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Pathfinder Regional Park covered arena and pavilion on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 1:00 p.m.

The latest structure to adorn the park, the pavilion was completed in July just in time for the Fremont County Fair and Rodeo. Contractor Corsentino Construction Inc. has since finalized the finish work required to close out the build.

”We’re very excited to formally open this space,” said Fremont County Commissioner Chairman Kevin Grantham. ”Many of our residents and visitors alike already have seen it in action, but there are many others who have not yet had the opportunity. We hope lots of those folks will join us at the ribbon cutting.”

The building is the latest structure in the county’s ongoing efforts to turn the park into the premier multiuse event venue destination in Fremont County. It joins the Event Center, which boasts a full commercial kitchen, auditorium, and meeting space; and the Outdoor Arena, which features spectator stands, back holding pens, announcers stand, restrooms, and warm up arena. The park also features plenty of parking and outdoor space for the many different events it hosts each year.

Pathfinder Regional Park is located at 6655 State Highway 115, between Cañon City and Florence. For more information, call the Fremont County Commissioners’ office at (719) 276-7300 or visit  www.pathfinderparkeventcenter.com.
