Come see two running model trains set up at the Florence Pioneed Museum by the Pueblo Train Club. Other trains will be set by the local community. Come and get your “Casey Jones” on at the Museum’s open house!

Get a jump on your Christmas Shopping at Cañon City MOPS’ annual Christmas Craft & Vendor Bazaar. There will be many great vendors at this event! Scentsy, Tupperware, Thirty One, and many more handmade crafts! We will be having a bake sale and chili dinner available for purchase.

Fremont Civic Theater’s “Twas the Opening Night Before Christmas”
Join Fremont Civic Theater for opening night of their annual Christmas production in conjunction with a food drive for Loaves and Fishes in December. Performances will be at the Historic Church Conservancy at 710 Macon Avenue in Cañon City. Cost per ticket is a flat $7. Bring a non-perishable food donation for Loaves and Fishes if you are able. Tickets available starting December 1st at City Market and Absolute Accounting in Cañon City and at Big D Super Foods in Florence. Directed by Kathy Herrin, including special musical by Kathryn Konicek and guest reading performances as well as some other fun stuff!! Don’t miss this show!!

Florence High School Band’s 11th Annual Arts and Crafts Fair
Come to Florence High School to support the band and Colorado artisans! Vendors will be selling handmade arts and crafts and the band will be selling homemade soups, chili, and baked goods. Florence High School is located at 2006 CO-67, Penrose, CO.

Pictures with Santa at the Cañon City Chamber of Commerce
This is a FREE event, so bring your cameras. If you don’t have a camera the Chamber will take a picture for you and charge only $5.00 per page! So bring your kids, bring your pets and capture the moment your kids eyes shining with excitement over Santa Claus! The CC Chamber of Commerce is located at 403 Royal Gorge Blvd in Cañon City.

Come join the Fremont County Chamber Orchestra for its 2018 Christmas Concert! Admission is free! The concert will be held in the auditorium at Washington Elementary School – 606 N 9th St, Cañon City, Colorado 81212.

Cañon City Brews and Bikes Co. is hosting “Pints for Paws” to benefit the animals at the Humane Society of Fremont County! Come down on 12/8 (3p-8pm) to Brews and Bikes. You’ll have an awesome time while supporting a great local business and the shelter animals. 🙂 $1 of every pint sold will be donated to the Humane Society! Cañon City Brews and Bikes is located at  224 Main St in Cañon City.

Second Saturday and Christmas Caroling in Downtown Florence
Join the downtown merchants and galleries of Florence as they Celebrate the Season on Second Saturday. Business stay open until 7:00 so you can get your Christmas shopping done and a group will be Christmas caroling from business to business. If you’d like to join the carolers, meet at 5:15pm at the Pour House in Florence. Sheet music will be provided and all are welcome!

Cañon City Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
Please join us for the City of Cañon City’s 2018 Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Depot Park (9th & Royal Gorge Blvd). Live holiday music will be performed by The Cañon City High School Marching Band Brass Ensemble. Mayor Preston Troutman will be turning on the Christmas Tree lights. Complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies will be available.

The Ben Younger Band will perform Saturday eve., Dec. 8, at the Rialto Theatre in Florence at 7pm. Join the downtown merchants and galleries as they Celebrate the Season on Second Saturday from 4pm – 7pm. Relax after Florence’s Second Saturday and enjoy the Ben Younger Band as they play a mix of old-time country with a little contemporary country thrown in for kicks. Admission is $10.
